Bridging Uganda's Digital Divide for Graduate Employment Through Mobile Computer Laboratories
Since ICT is the backbone of today’s employment industry, yet for a long time, Ugandan graduates have continued to miss out. We know the root cause and the solution!
We are committed to bridging the digital divide between rural and urban communities in Uganda, particularly in schools. Our initiative provides high-quality mobile computer labs and reliable internet access to rural students and teachers who currently lack these critical resources for success, even when it is extremely required for the new Uganda lower and upper secondary schools curricula.
Monetizing Every Right & Individual Talent -MERIT
The MERIT platform tackles unemployment and worker exploitation (SDGs 8 & 10) by connecting skilled individuals, especially youth, women, and refugees, with local opportunities. Beyond a free job board, it lets users monetize multiple skills via individual pages. Uniquely, it integrates workers’ rights advocacy, anonymous abuse reporting, and education on fair wages. This holistic approach fosters decent work, local economic resilience, and a movement where economic participation and human dignity are inextricably linked.
